2012 Annual Membership Meeting, Bozeman, MT

Host: Greater Yellowstone Coalition
Date: June 16, 2012 - June 16, 2012
Time: 09:00 AM

Join us for a fun-filled, informative day focused on our work to protect the Gallatin Range – some of the last unprotected, unroaded backcountry adjacent to Yellowstone National Park.

REGISTER NOW. Or call 800-775-1834 to register over the phone.

From its exposed alpine ridges to lower elevation forests and grassy meadows, the Gallatin Range provides safe refuge for wildlife moving in and out of the park. Grizzly bears, wolves, moose, elk, and even the rare and elusive wolverine and lynx all make their home in the Gallatins. The snow-covered peaks and clear, cold streams provide clean water to the famed trout fisheries of the Gallatin and Yellowstone Rivers and growing communities such as Bozeman.

The 2012 Annual Membership Meeting will include several field trips into the Gallatin Range, followed by an evening picnic and speaker.

Tentative schedule of Events:

9am – 3pm:  Field trips to the Gallatin Range. We will offer 3-4 field trips, divided as follows:

- A moderate hike (all day)
- An easier, closer hike (half day)
- An interpretive walk
- A drive/discussion of Gallatin Range issues (likely to Hyalite Reservoir day use area)

Check back soon for exact details on the field trips – they are dependent on spring snow, melts, and access!

5:30 – 8:30 pm:  Summer picnic and speaker

COST TO ATTEND: $25 per person, includes picnic dinner, evening presentation, and field trip. Breakfast and lunch not provided.
