The U.S. Forest Service is currently weighing a proposal from Grand Targhee Resort that would allow a significant expansion into the wild, undeveloped Mono Trees and South Bowl areas of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. Thanks to your action, the call to protect these public lands is loud and clear.

On November 7, 2024, the Wyoming State Board of Land Commissioners with a 3-2 vote approved the sale of the 640-acre Kelly Parcel to Grand Teton National Park. The $100 million sale will benefit Wyoming public schools and ensure this spectacular piece of land is public for Wyomingites and visitors to enjoy.

Big win for Wyoming wildlife! The Kelly Parcel is approved for direct sale to the Grand Teton National Park for $100 million with the passage of Wyoming’s biennium budget bill.  

Tucked into the eastern edge of Grand Teton National Park is a 640-acre parcel of state-owned land renowned for its scenic beauty, high quality wildlife habitat, and legacy of public recreation access. Now, the future of the Kelly Parcel is in jeopardy.
