NICK CLARKE
WILDLIFE CONSERVATION ASSOCIATE
Nick is based in Montana and works to conserve the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem’s incredible wildlife. He focuses on wildlife policy, preventing wildlife conflicts, and improving safe wildlife passage across highways.
Nick has been passionate about nature his entire life and has long worked to protect wild places and wildlife. He has been fortunate to have had many life-changing experiences in amazing wild areas from Namibia to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. On childhood trips to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, he immediately developed a deep fascination and interest in the region. Having advanced land and wildlife conservation efforts for over a dozen years in the Northern Rockies and beyond, Nick brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of the landscape to his work. His career has included roles at Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative, and most recently the Trust for Public Land. Nick is thrilled to help protect this iconic landscape and its wildlife as a member of the GYC team.
Nick seeks any opportunity he can to explore wild areas, whether close to home or far away. He enjoys meaningful travel, good food, reading, spending time with family, playing with his young son, and a deep belly laugh. You can often find him floating on a river, enjoying a lake, planning his next trip, or out hiking.
