SIERRA HARRIS
CLIMATE RESILIENCY PROGRAM MANAGER
Sierra is helping to build and manage a cohesive climate program throughout the Greater Yellowstone region by working closely with Tribal, federal, and state agencies as well as a variety of stakeholders. Her work will focus on projects that address the impacts of climate change on land, water, and wildlife in the region.
Sierra brings over 30 years of conservation experience from a variety of agency and nonprofit positions. She previously worked as a freshwater conservation manager in the High Divide Headwaters region on Montana and was excited be a stakeholder in the Greater Yellowstone Climate Assessment. She enjoys the collaborative conservation process and looks forward to continuing this work across the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
In her free time, Sierra enjoys escaping on outdoor adventures with her husband, two active teens, and their dog, Scout. When not in the mountains, she also loves to read, work in the garden, and run with her dog, Scout. Sierra is also volunteering on the board of a nonprofit that helps with lemur research in the dry land forests of Madagascar.
