Join the Greater Yellowstone Coalition Thursday, May 14 for an evening with author Hillary Rosner exploring recreation, land development, and wildlife in Teton Valley and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is defined by rugged peaks, sweeping valleys, dense forests, and free-flowing rivers—an extraordinary landscape that supports iconic wildlife and world-class outdoor recreation. It is one of the last remaining large, intact ecosystems on Earth.
GYC is pleased to host Hillary Rosner, author of Roam: Wild Animals and the Race to Repair Our Fractured World. Rosner’s work examines how land fragmentation disrupts wildlife migration and highlights solutions that reconnect landscapes and strengthen climate resilience. In this presentation, she will explore how these challenges and opportunities are unfolding in Teton Valley.
Following the talk, join a panel discussion featuring Rosner and regional experts, including Taylor Ganz of The Nature Conservancy, Matt Pieron of Idaho Fish and Game, Dan Verbeten of Teton Trails and Pathways, and Monica Zimmerman of the Bureau of Land Management. The conversation will be moderated by Tom Hallberg, GYC’s Idaho Conservation Associate.
