Donor-Advised Funds

Give to Greater Yellowstone with the power of a private foundation.

The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem needs your support for years to come and there is a simple solution for streamlining your giving.

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable investment account that makes giving simple both now and in the future. As you contribute assets to your donor-advised fund, you can claim charitable deductions and direct gifts from the fund to your nonprofits of choice, like the Greater Yellowstone Coalition. While your contributions to a donor-advised fund are irrevocable, they can be given to organizations at your discretion or they can grow tax-free while waiting to be used.

You can even use donor-advised funds to support causes you care about after your lifetime.  By setting up a donor-advised fund and naming organizations, like the Greater Yellowstone Coalition, as beneficiaries you ensure that the remainder of your funds will be given to the charities of your choice after your death.

How to get set up with a donor-advised fund.

1. Reach out to your financial and/or legal advisor to learn more about donor-advised funds and how to build one.

2. Contact Development Coordinator Veronika Sieben at (406) 556-2807 or vsieben@greateryellowstone.org to ensure the Greater Yellowstone Coalition is set up as a beneficiary.

3. When you add the Greater Yellowstone Coalition as a beneficiary, please use the following:
