LONDON BERNIER
COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE
As the communications associate, London writes and creates to support GYC’s conservation goals and endeavors. She works with her fellow staff members and people living in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem to tell stories of the work happening to protect the lands, waters, and wildlife of this remarkable landscape.
Born and raised on the coast of Maine, London traded the ocean for mountains when she moved to Montana’s Ruby Valley in 2020. The landscape and people captured her heart and mind, and although she could do with a few more trees, London decided staying in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem was a must. Based in Bozeman now, she’s grateful to retain her connection to the Ruby Valley as a participant in the Ruby Valley Strategic Alliance. She brings a passion for and knowledge of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, having worked on education, outreach, communications, and restoration projects with the Henry’s Fork Foundation and Ruby Valley Conservation District.
In her free time, odds are you will find London outside. She enjoys reading with a cup of tea in hand, hiking, biking, foraging for edible goodies, cross-country skiing, and fly fishing (with the aspiration of improving her fish-to-tree catching ratio).
Favorite Greater Yellowstone Animal: Snake River Cutthroat Trout or the mighty marmot…a tough call.
First Job: Selling flowers, veggies, and blueberries at an organic farm.
Conservation Hero: Rachel Carson
