MATT LUCIA
IDAHO CONSERVATION MANAGER
Matt provides strategic leadership for the Greater Yellowstone Coalition’s efforts to protect the lands, waters, and wildlife within the Idaho portion of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. His work focuses on improving habitat connectivity, conserving key public lands, preventing human-wildlife conflicts, building partnerships, and shaping local, state, and federal policy decisions. Matt works with his GYC team and partners to deliver durable conservation outcomes that benefit us now and for the future.
Growing up in rural Southeast Idaho, Matt developed a strong sense of connection to agricultural communities and a love of open space, sagebrush rangelands, snow-covered mountains, and healthy rivers and wetlands.
In his free time, Matt likes to chase his bird dog across the foothills, tour mountains on his splitboard, and float rivers.
